To become a registered nurse (RN), you’ll need to undergo appropriate training and take the necessary board examination to get a license.

ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE – PROFESSIONAL NURSING
Program Objective:
To prepare students for employment as registered nurses. To assist the professional nursing student in acquiring skills comparable to the demands of the health care industry. To provide all students who enroll with sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively practice and to successfully pass the Registered Nurse National Comprehensive Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). The program is offered only on campus (residentially), and students must transfer in all general education and science courses prior to enrolling in core nursing courses.
Program Description:
The professional nursing program consists of 72 credit hours and is designed to prepare students for an entry-level position as a Registered Nurse. The program is designed to train students in all relevant aspects of patient care, including personal care, physical comfort, home health care needs, providing post-operative care, geriatric care, and other critical functions. Graduates of this program will be prepared to work in hospitals, home health agencies, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare settings. Associate Degree nurses may supervise other nurses, practical nurses, and nursing assistants. The program is offered only on campus (residentially).

Credential Earned: Students who successfully complete program requirements will earn an Associate of Science in Nursing degree.
